Man Charged with Murder After Shocking Salisbury Stabbing
A quiet Salisbury neighbourhood was left reeling after a fatal stabbing. Darren Hughes, 52, was found fatally wounded at a property on Davies Road, Longhedge, on Saturday morning.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
At 7.52am, emergency services responded to reports of a serious incident. Paramedics battled to save Mr Hughes but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested and Charged
Alfie Miller, 21, from Willow Drive, Durrington, has now been charged with murder. He was immediately remanded in custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Community in Shock as Police Investigate
Wiltshire Police confirmed they are supporting Darren Hughes’s grieving family with specially trained officers. A police cordon stayed in place over the weekend as forensic teams combed the scene for evidence.
