Andrew and Tristan Tate Charged with Rape, Human Trafficking, and Assault in UK

Influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been formally charged in the UK with multiple serious offences including rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that Andrew Tate, 38, faces 10 charges involving three women, while his brother Tristan Tate, 36, faces 11 charges involving a fourth alleged victim.

The charges come after a file of evidence was submitted by Bedfordshire Police. A European Arrest Warrant was issued in England in 2024, and both brothers are expected to be extradited to the UK from Romania once ongoing criminal proceedings there are resolved.

Charges at a Glance

A spokesperson for the CPS stated:

We can confirm that we have authorised charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate for offences including rape, human trafficking, controlling prostitution and actual bodily harm against three women. These charging decisions followed receipt of a file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police.

The CPS added that although the UK has requested the extradition of the brothers, criminal matters in Romania must be concluded first before they can be transferred to face UK prosecution.

Legal Status

The Crown Prosecution Service has reminded the public that criminal proceedings are now active, and both defendants are entitled to a fair trial. No court date has yet been confirmed in the UK.
