Murder Probe Launched After Pensioner Found Unconscious at Home

A murder investigation is underway after 75-year-old John Murray was found unconscious at his Chiswick home last October. Police were called to Carlton Road on Saturday, 12 October 2024, following a 999 call from the London Ambulance Service. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, John was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family Issues Emotional Plea for Information

John’s family describe him as a cheerful man who was reportedly in good spirits on the day he died. They have urged anyone with knowledge of what happened to come forward, hoping to piece together the events leading to his sudden death.

Met Police Hunt Witnesses and Crucial CCTV

Detective Chief Inspector Brian Howie, leading the investigation, said:

“We’re looking into anything unusual — an argument, a struggle, or anyone seen entering or leaving John’s flat. Even the smallest details or footage could make all the difference.”

The Met are appealing for anyone with information or CCTV footage from Carlton Road around 12 October to report it via the Met Police Public Portal. Witnesses can also contact the police anonymously through official channels.
