Man in his 30s injured in brutal glass bottle attack in East London

Glass bottle assault on Lea Bridge Road

Police are hunting for information after a violent assault left a man hurt in East London. The attack happened just after 3.30pm on Monday, 23 June, at the busy junction of Lea Bridge Road and Hitcham Road (E10).

Emergency services rushed to the scene where they found a man in his 30s with injuries caused by a smashed glass bottle. Paramedics treated him at the spot before rushing him to hospital.

Victim’s injuries not life-threatening

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the man’s wounds are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made yet as officers continue their investigation.

Police appeal for witnesses

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this assault. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is urged to contact police,” said a Met spokesperson.
