Six Hospitalised After Serious Collision on Gatton Bottom in Reigate

Six people have been taken to hospital following a serious two-vehicle crash on Gatton Bottom, near the junction with Reigate Hill, on Saturday afternoon (July 19).

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 1.30pm, where a Suzuki and a Range Rover had collided. The road was closed in both directions for several hours while paramedics, fire crews, and police officers worked to assist those involved and clear the wreckage.


Three Seriously Injured, Three Others Hospitalised as Precaution

Surrey Police confirmed that:

  • Three individuals were taken to hospital with serious injuries
  • Another three were transported as a precaution

The extent of the injuries has not been made public, but all six are believed to be in stable condition.


Police Appeal for Dashcam Footage and Witnesses

Officers from Surrey Police are urging any witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forward as they investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or who has footage of the moments leading up to it to get in touch immediately,” said a police spokesperson.


Road Closure and Disruption

The busy stretch of Gatton Bottom was cordoned off between Reigate Hill and surrounding routes while investigation and recovery efforts took place, causing travel disruption throughout the afternoon.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
