15 Fire Engines and 100 Firefighters Battle the Blaze
The London Fire Brigade confirmed that 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters rushed to the scene to tackle the fire.

- The first emergency call came in at 4.27pm with control officers receiving at least eight separate calls about the fire.
- Fire crews from New Cross, Peckham, Deptford, and nearby stations were quickly dispatched.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Crews remain at the scene of a fire in a block of flats in Hatcham Park Mews, New Cross. We are asking residents to avoid the area and to keep windows and doors closed while firefighters work to bring the blaze under control.”
