Shocking Street Theft in Moulsecoomb Way

A 62-year-old man was pushed off his electric scooter and robbed on a Brighton street on Wednesday afternoon, 19 May. The victim was cruising along Moulsecoomb Way when a thief suddenly shoved him off his ‘stand-up’ scooter and made off with it.

Police Nab Suspect and Recover Scooter

Following quick police action, a 21-year-old man was arrested the same day on suspicion of robbery. After questioning, he was released on bail until 17 June as investigations continue.

Officers also managed to recover the stolen stand-up scooter from a nearby address. Police confirm it is not a disability scooter.
