Police Hunt for Missing Belongings of Man Who Died After Cardiac Arrest

Police are appealing for help to support the family of Robert Simpson, 55, who tragically died after suffering a suspected cardiac arrest in Jesmond on February 11.

Robert Fell Ill on Skinnerburn Road

Robert was walking alone along Skinnerburn Road when he collapsed. He was rushed to hospital but sadly passed away two weeks later, surrounded by loved ones. At the time, Robert had been moving between several hotel rooms, having recently left his home.

Family Struggles as Belongings Go Missing

Police say they have been unable to trace Robert’s main residence or recover most of his possessions. His family is desperate for closure but cannot find it until his belongings are found.

Officers have searched some hotel rooms and recovered a few items but are still missing the majority.

Community Urged to Help Identify Robert’s Whereabouts

Police are asking residents and hotel staff across newcastle/" title="Newcastle" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Newcastle for help. If you recognise Robert or know where he stayed in the weeks leading up to his death, please contact Northumbria Police via their ‘Tell Us Something’ page, quoting log 467 11/02/21.
