The stabbing took place on Monday evening outside Cornwallis House, where four men, aged 20s-30s, reportedly clashed between 8pm and 8.45pm. A black male was stabbed in both legs around 8.45pm before three others ran off on foot.

The victim was found lying in the street, bleeding heavily. Paramedics rushed him to Southampton General Hospital at about 9.30pm. His injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
