A woman was left horrified after receiving an email confirming a massive £2,400 purchase. The haul? An Apple iPhone, iPad, and a Virtue headset – supposedly bought from Currys in Collierwood. The catch? She never made the purchase.

CCTV Snaps Slick Scam Duo in Action

She dashed to Currys to report the fraud. Staff showed her CCTV footage revealing a black couple completing the transaction – not her daughter. A store assistant confirmed her daughter wasn’t served and burned the footage onto a disc for the police. However, they refused to give her a copy directly.

Police Pass the Buck as Finance Firm Under Fire

She contacted police but was handed only a CAD number with no real support. The culprit could be a hack of Creations Finance, the lender behind the buy-now-pay-later Dealdeal. Though the payment deadline is a year away, she’s already fighting to clear her name.

Anxiety Strikes as Bank and Action Fraud Step In

Luckily, Action Fraud has now got involved to help with the investigation.
