Pedestrian Mowed down by Car in Andover fighting for his life in Hospital

Police are appealing for information following a collision between a car and pedestrian in Andover. The incident took place as the 52-year-old pedestrian was crossing Churchill Way, at the crossing near Tesco, just after 6.30pm on Friday, October 21. He is currently in hospital being treated for serious injuries. The vehicle, a silver MG ZT-T, was travelling on the eastbound carriageway. PC Matt Clayton, said: “Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see what happened? I would urge anyone with information to get in touch with us as soon as possible on 101 quoting Operation Trinket.” Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Clayton by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
