Ainsworth was hit with a 12-month community order, three-year driving disqualification, 180 hours of unpaid work, and £170 in fines and victim surcharges.

Police Warn: Drug Driving Risks Lives

“By getting behind the wheel that day, knowing how much he had taken, he showed total disregard for the lives of others and it is sheer luck no one was seriously hurt,” said Christopher Pike from the Roads Policing Unit.

“This is one of the highest readings the force has ever come across. We want this to send a strong message – drug driving is NEVER worth the risk.”
