Man charged over Brutal Fatal Stabbing in Tunbridge Wells

Detectives investigating a murder in Tunbridge Wells have charged a man. Kent Police was called at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018 to an address in Sherwood Road. Officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where 43-year-old Gordon Farnes sustained injuries and died. Gordon Locke, aged 28 and of no fixed address, was arrested and an investigation was launched by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate. The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised a charge of murder. Mr Locke remains in custody and is due to appear via virtual link before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18 July.
