Teen Arrested After Spate of Burglaries Rocks Bexhill’s Pebsham Area

Midnight Raids Spark Police Action

A 16-year-old boy was hauled in by police following a string of burglaries in Bexhill’s Pebsham neighbourhood. Officers were first called out after two break-ins in Mistley Close during the early hours of Tuesday, November 15.

Repeated Attempts to Break In

The same morning saw more trouble, with reports of an attempted burglary in Mistley Close and two further attempts on homes in Filsham Drive. Witnesses spotted a man with his face covered trying to open front doors before giving up and walking away.

Arrest and Ongoing Patrols

Police acted fast, arresting a local 16-year-old on Thursday, November 17, in connection with all five offences. He was released on conditional bail, expected back in court on February 18.

Meanwhile, Sussex Police have ramped up patrols in the area and urge residents to stay vigilant and report anything suspicious.
