Man Charged Over Brutal Fatal Stabbing in Tunbridge Wells

Detectives have charged a man following a savage murder in Tunbridge Wells. Kent Police were called to a Sherwood Road address at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018.

Tragic Stabbing Claims Life of 43-Year-Old

Officers and paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service found 43-year-old Gordon Farnes with fatal injuries. Sadly, he died at the scene.

Suspect Arrested and Charged with Murder

Gordon Locke, 28, of no fixed address, was arrested shortly after. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate took over the investigation.

The Crown Prosecution Service has now authorised murder charges against Locke. He remains in custody.

Next Court Appearance Scheduled

Locke is set to appear via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18 July.
