Two children pulled from Ryde water feared suffering secondary drowning

Two children have been rushed to hospital under blue light on the Isle of Wight after being pulled from the sea in Ryde. Two men on jet ski who jumped in and saved the pair are being praised for their actions as the parent this evening spend the evening at their hospital beds in St Mary’s hospital in Newport. The two girls are both said to be in a critical condition suffering from the effects of secondary drowning. Emergency workers rushed to the scene just after 6pm in Sunday evening near Ryde Harbour in the town. Members of the Coastguard and Paramedics are understood to have carried out life saving treatment on the pair after they were pulled from the water after getting into difficulty.
