Two Men Shot at Point-Blank Range in Harrow
Two males were blasted with a firearm at point blank range in Harrow on Tuesday evening. Police are now hunting the shooters after victims were found wounded near Raynors Lane station.
Shooting Sparks Police Hunt
At 5.09pm on 21 August, officers were called to reports of a shooting close to Harrow’s Raynors Lane station. Specialist firearms teams joined the response, and initial enquiries suggest a man opened fire on a group before fleeing with an accomplice on a moped.
Victims Found in Fenced Area
Nearby, two males aged between 18 and 24, who had run from the scene, were discovered with gunshot wounds in a fenced-off area. Both were rushed to hospital and are not believed to be in life-threatening condition.
Two Arrested on Attempted Murder Charges
Two other males, aged 18 and 25 and thought to have been with the victims, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. It is reported they may have fired back at the shooters on the moped. They remain in custody at a west london/" title="London" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">London police station as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A crime scene remains in place as officers investigate the full circumstances. Police urge anyone who saw the incident or has information to contact Harrow Police on 101, tweet @MetCC, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting CAD 5594/21 August.
