Emergency services called to Shanklin following collision

Emergency services have been called to a collision on Carter Road in Shanklin. Police have responded to the collision that is also effecting a number of Roads due to the location. The collision involves a motorcycle and rider who has been involved in a collision near to the pelican crossing outside the co-operative supermarket. The rider has been thrown from his machine and he is being attended to by paramedics from the Islands ambulance service. Police and the Isle of Wight ambulance service were called just before 11am on Monday. Southern Vectis say their Route 3 from Sandown towards Shanklin are currently be unable to serve Howard Road Bus Stop, Wilton Park Road or Shanklin Railway Station due to the collision More to follow
