Where’s Leah? Mystery Deepens as Milton Keynes Teen Vanishes Since February
Milton Keynes is still searching for missing teen Leah Croucher, who disappeared nearly four months ago. Thames Valley Police have launched a fresh appeal, desperate for anyone with information to come forward. Leah was last spotted at 8.15am on Friday 15 February, walking along Buzzacott Lane in Furzton towards Loxbeare Drive and Chaffron Way.
Crucial Clue: Leah’s Secret Whereabouts the Night Before
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Howard of the Major Crime Unit has zoomed in on an intriguing 90-minute gap the evening before Leah vanished. “Leah got home at around 5.45pm on Thursday 14 February but left shortly after, saying she was heading to a friend’s place in Emerson Valley,” DCI Howard revealed.
“She came back at about 7.15pm, but we’ve now discovered she never visited that friend.
“We need to know exactly where Leah was and what she was doing between 5.45pm and 7.15pm. Did you see her, meet her, or have footage from that period? Please get in touch immediately.”
That evening, Leah wore a black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, a long-sleeved t-shirt, and black Converse hi-top trainers—the same jacket spotted on CCTV the next day. Police urge anyone with even minor information to contact them, quoting investigation number 43190049929.
Spotting Leah—or Someone Like Her—Near Furzton Lake
Officers are also asking for help identifying a woman seen near Furzton Lake on the morning Leah disappeared. Between 9.30am and 11.15am on 15 February, a female matching Leah’s description was spotted using her mobile phone on a wooden boardwalk on the lake’s eastern side.
The mystery woman was also seen near the sports pavilion and later by the Premier Inn. Witnesses describe her as white, about 20 years old, 5ft 4in tall, with shoulder-length dark brown hair.
She wore a black mid-thigh length coat (unzipped), dark trousers, and white earbuds in both ears.
“We want to identify this woman,” DCI Howard said. “She may or may not be Leah, but we need to speak to her or anyone who knows her to rule out or confirm these sightings.”
