Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Norwich Assault
Police are probing a horrific attack in Norwich that left a man seriously injured in the early hours of Saturday, 19 March 2022.
Violent Attack on St Vedast Street
Officers rushed to St Vedast Street just before 2.30am after reports of a man being assaulted. Emergency services treated the victim, a man in his 20s, who was initially taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
He was later transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
Two Men Arrested Over Brutal GBH Attack
Two suspects — one a late teenager, the other in his 20s — were arrested later that day on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Both were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
A police cordon was set up at the scene but was lifted shortly before 3.40pm as inquiries continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
Detectives are urging anyone who was near St Vedast Street between 2.10am and 2.30am to come forward. Witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage could hold vital clues.
