Yobs Torch Folkestone Hospital in Blazing Arson Attack
Firefighters Battle Blaze at Royal Victoria Hospital
A major fire broke out at Royal Victoria Hospital in Folkestone after yobs set the building ablaze. Fire crews were scrambled just after 8pm on Tuesday following reports of smoke and suspicious activity.
Neighbours spotted troublemakers starting fires, prompting a rapid response. Eight fire engines and specialist units rushed to the scene on Radnor Park Road to tackle the blaze.
Joint Arson Probe Underway
Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed their Emergency Control Centre was alerted at 8.38pm and crews quickly deployed breathing apparatus, main jets, and hose reels to contain the fire. A command support unit and height vehicle helped in the efforts.
The property was thoroughly searched for casualties or anyone trapped, but there were no injuries reported.
Investigation Continues as Firefighters Contain Flames
The fire is now under control, but several fire appliances remain at the scene as the joint arson investigation gets underway. Authorities are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information on the yobs responsible.
