Edward was first reported missing on 6 June. An extensive investigation followed, but yesterday (Tuesday 30 June) fresh information pointed officers towards the Neath Port Talbot area in South Wales.
Essex Police have handed over the search to their South Wales counterparts. The cooperation aims to locate Edward quickly and safely.

Edward’s family has been kept fully informed about the latest developments.
Superintendent Craig Saunders said: “I want to thank the public for all their help and support during the investigation to find Edward. This support has been really helpful to our investigation and is greatly appreciated.
“We have information which indicates he is in South Wales, and South Wales Police are now leading the search. I also want to thank the member of the public who came forward with this information, as it could be crucial in finding Edward and reuniting him with his family.”
