Drug Dealer Caught and Caged in Windsor Bust
Rahid Iqbal Sentenced for Drug and Weapon Charges
Rahid Iqbal, 24, from Sutton Lane, Hounslow, has been locked up for over five years after pleading guilty to multiple serious offences. On Monday 14 September, Reading Magistrates sentenced him to five years and four months behind bars.
Massive Drug Haul and Illegal Weapon Seized
Iqbal admitted to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs – cocaine and heroin – and possession of a weapon designed to discharge noxious gas or an electric incapacitation device. The arrest followed a vehicle stop in Ward Royal back on 11 May 2018. Officers found four mobile phones, cash, and drugs in his car.
A subsequent search of Iqbal’s home uncovered more Class A drugs, £10,000 in cash, and a can of CS spray – a noxious chemical weapon.
Police Crack Down on Drug Supply
Detective Constable Kelly Davis of the Maidenhead Priority Crime Team said: “I am pleased that Iqbal has admitted the charges against him and will now have to spend his sentence reflecting on his actions. Disrupting drug supply in our communities remains one of our top priorities and we will continue to tackle these supply chains.”
“As part of our Stronghold campaign, we are committed to working with partners to fight serious organised crime and protect the most vulnerable from the devastating impact of drug offences.”
