Tragic Cycling Death in Danbury – Police Seek Witnesses
An 85-year-old man from Danbury has died after being found with a serious head injury beside his bike.
Man Found Injured on The Ridge
The pensioner was discovered on The Ridge near Fir Tree Lane at around 3.15pm on Friday, 13th November. He was rushed to Addenbrookes Hospital but sadly passed away the following day.
How Did He Get Hurt? Mystery Remains
Police have not yet established how the man sustained his injuries. Essex Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating all possibilities.
Sgt Alex Black said: “There is nothing to immediately suggest that this gentleman was struck by a vehicle or that any other vehicle was involved, but we need to keep an open mind.”
“There are several schools near the location, and given it was during the school run, we urge anyone who saw him or anything suspicious to come forward.”
