William and Kate Thank Frontline Transport Workers in Rare UK Tour
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took time out at London’s Euston Station to personally thank transport workers for their tireless efforts keeping Britain moving through the COVID-19 crisis.
Real Talk with Frontline Heroes
Among the lucky to meet Their Royal Highnesses were Euston’s own Customer Service Assistants, Denisa Gheorgina and Dave Allen. They shared a brief, heartfelt chat with William and Kate before watching a special performance side by side.
The Royals were joined by staff from Avanti West Coast, London Overground, London Underground, and London buses, all frontline heroes during the pandemic.
One Grand Royal Tour, 1250 Miles of UK Spirit
Sunday marked the start of the royal couple’s new tour aboard the Royal Train. Over the journey, they plan to cover 1,250 miles meeting healthcare workers, teachers, volunteers, and young people, learning about their sacrifices and inspiring resilience during a tough year.
Frontline Bosses Praise Royal Visit
Joe Hendry, Euston Station Manager, called it “a moment for the history books.” He said, “Having the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recognise our efforts to keep the nation safe and moving means the world to us all.”
James Dean, West Coast South Route Director, added, “This wasn’t just a night for those present — it was a thank you to everyone in the transport industry, from the nation’s future King and Queen.”
He revealed the Royals asked about their challenges and praised the mental health first aid training at Euston, a cause close to William and Kate’s hearts.
