Tragic Teen Stabbed to Death in Canning Town
A local teenager, known as Junior Jah or Y.Grinna, was fatally stabbed today in Canning Town. The 18-year-old died despite emergency crews’ efforts to save him.
Family Devastated by Double Loss
The victim’s family broke down at the scene when officers informed them of his death. Heartbreakingly, this is not their first tragedy. Four years ago, Junior’s brother, Ahmed Jah aka Grinna, was also stabbed to death in the same area.
Police Launch Investigation Amid Knife Crime Fears
- Police were called at 2:45pm on Monday, April 26, to reports of a stabbing on Coolfin Road, E16.
- Despite immediate ambulance and police response, Junior was pronounced dead at the scene.
- A crime scene remains in place and enquiries are ongoing.
- No arrests have been made so far.
- A Section 60 stop-and-search order covers Newham borough from 4pm Monday to 7am Tuesday.
