Man Left Fighting for Life After Brutal Pub Punch-Up
Dorset Police were called to Ye Olde George Inn on Castle Street just before 11pm on Saturday, August 28, 2021, following a violent scuffle involving four or five men.
A man in his 30s was punched and knocked to the floor, suffering a serious head injury.
Victim Rushed to Hospital with Brain Bleed
Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, rushed to the scene. The injured man was taken straight to hospital where he is currently being treated for a bleed on the brain.
Suspect Arrested in Brutal Attack Probe
Detectives from Bournemouth CID launched an immediate investigation and arrested a 23-year-old man from Bournemouth on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Aston Starkie said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I would appeal for any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to please come forward.
I would also urge anyone with further information that might assist our investigation to please get in touch.”
