Massive Rescue Operation Launched
A sombre night for Kent as rescue teams from Deal, Dover, and Folkestone rushed to a wooded cliffside between Dover and Deal. The UK Coastguard at Dover managed the large-scale incident, deploying the Rescue 163 helicopter from Lydd to the scene.
Coastguard Team Faces Horror on the Cliffs
Volunteers were scrambled at around 5.30pm to St Margarets, Kent. Using a rope pulley system, a coastguard team descended the steep cliffs to reach a person in distress. Tragically, the individual was found to be beyond help and declared incompatible with life.

The coastguard helicopter’s powerful nightsun searchlight helped illuminate the scene as officers from Kent Police arrived to assist. Authorities have been approached for further details on the heartbreaking incident.
