At 12.35pm on Tuesday 15 February 2022, two Tonbridge Community Policing Team officers on foot patrol spotted a man cycling onto a station platform — on a bike suspiciously missing its saddle. Their instincts kicked in: could the bike be stolen?
Quick Stop Uncovers More Than Just a Stolen Bike
The suspect abruptly left the station and headed onto Barden Road. The officers stopped him for questioning and searched him. They found a purple pot tucked in his waistband. Inside, a yellow plastic egg held 29 wraps of suspected heroin. A small blade was also seized.
Young Dover Man Arrested on Drugs Charges
The 19-year-old from Dover was promptly arrested for possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply. He’s since been released while British Transport Police carry out further investigations.
