Delivery Driver Assaulted in Canterbury – Police Seek Witnesses
A delivery man was attacked outside a takeaway on Sturry Road, Canterbury, sparking a police appeal for information.
Three Suspects Target Driver Late at Night
Between 10pm and 10.50pm on 20 June 2022, the delivery man was parked in his car when three men approached and assaulted him. Thanks to a passerby, the victim escaped and police were called. The suspects fled towards Kingsmead.
The victim suffered a minor arm wound in the attack.
Descriptions Released, Arrests Made
- All three suspects were about 5ft 6ins tall with black hair.
- Two appeared slim and in their late teens.
- Suspect one wore a black jacket, grey trousers, black hat, and carried a black bag.
- Suspect two was in a black t-shirt and brown trousers.
- The third, around 25 years old with a medium build and beard, wore a blue shirt.
In a break, kent-police/" title="Kent Police">Kent Police have arrested an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy from Canterbury connected to the assault.
“Two arrests have already been made, but we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information regarding this incident,” said Detective Inspector Julien Lawton.
“Witnesses to the assault, as well as anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time, are urged to come forward.”
