At 11.10am, police rushed to Newnham Road after reports of a serious assault. A woman suffered head injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Man Arrested at Scene
A man was arrested on the spot and also taken to hospital, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed. Authorities say the victim and suspect know each other, ruling out any wider public danger.
