Southampton Pair Jailed Over Shocking Kidnap and Torture

Sean David Perry, 37, from Southampton, and Caprice Martine Buddle, 25, of Swanmore, have been locked up for a terrifying ordeal in Waterlooville. Perry got 17 years and Buddle 10 after a brutal attack on a man in his 30s.

Gruesome Attack Uncovered

The victim met Buddle online in early 2019 and saw her several times. But on May 5, Buddle lured him to a home on Thrush Walk, Waterlooville, where he was viciously attacked for hours by two men.

  • He was hit with a stool and kicked.
  • Forced to drink cleaning fluid.
  • Made to hand over his phone, wallet, bank cards, and PINs.

The man was blindfolded, bundled into a vehicle, driven around, and dumped by the roadside. Luckily, he recognised the area, escaped, and called police.

Swift Police Action Leads to Convictions

Police arrested Buddle in Havant the same day. Perry was caught days later after an extensive probe involving DNA, CCTV, phones, and bank cards. Both initially denied charges but were convicted by a jury after less than 90 minutes of deliberation.

Three other men were arrested but later released without charge.

Detective Praises Victim’s Bravery

“The victim in this case was subjected to a harrowing and traumatic ordeal which lasted over several hours. Perry and Buddle will now face the consequences of their despicable actions and spend a significant amount of time in prison,” said Detective Constable Emily Dummer.

She added, “Thanks to the victim’s incredible courage, these offenders can no longer harm anyone else. This sentence sends a strong message that we relentlessly pursue those who abuse and support their victims.”
