Teen Held Over Deadly Sydenham Stabbing
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, April 14. The arrest is linked to the fatal stabbing of Levi Ernest-Morrison, also 17, on Sydenham Road, SE26, last Saturday, April 10.
The teenage suspect remains in custody at a South London police station. Detectives from the Specialist Crime unit are digging deeper into the case.
Detective Pleads for Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood, leading the probe, urged the public to speak up. He said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about the people involved in this murder to share it with us. Often, friends or acquaintances of the victim know who is responsible. If you do, please do the right thing and contact us.”
He added that people can pass information anonymously via Crimestoppers, who won’t ask for your name. You can call or submit online. Alternatively, speak to police directly – all info stays strictly confidential.”
He urged the public to think of Levi’s devastated family and “do the right thing.”
Woman Charged with Murder
A 36-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday, April 11. She was charged with murder on Tuesday, April 13. She is set to appear in custody at the Old Bailey on Friday, April 16.
