Blast Blows Out Windows at Ground-Floor Flat

A massive police cordon is still up around a block of flats on Catlyn Close, East Malling. Emergency services rushed to the scene after an explosion ripped through a ground-floor flat, smashing its front windows and blowing out the rear doors and windows.

Two Kent Police officers and a patrol car remain stationed on the nearby green as scene of crime experts snap photos and housing inspectors assess the damage.

Boiler Fault Suspected, No Injuries Reported

A passerby claimed the chaos was caused by a boiler fault. Thankfully, no one was injured in the blast.

A distressed woman, wrapped in a dressing gown, told reporters, “It’s my house – I’ve lost everything.” She asked to remain anonymous as she came to terms with the devastation.

Family with Young Baby Lives in Damaged Flat

Neighbours confirmed that a family with a very young baby lives in the property. However, they declined to comment further on the incident.
