A two-vehicle collision on the A2 in Bexley Heath led to the arrest of a drunk driver.
The incident occurred just after 5:30 am near the Danson Interchange and Upton Road.
The driver was found to be nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit.
Officers from the Catford Roads policing unit of the Metropolitan Police responded, implementing road closures.
Recovery work is underway, and traffic is being held during this operation. Additionally, a woman has been arrested by officers for breaching the cordon and attempting to drive the wrong way on the dual carriageway during recovery.
