A murder investigation is underway after a 19-year-old was fatally stabbed in broad daylight in Wandsworth earlier this week.
Tragic Stabbing on Lavender Hill
On Tuesday, 21 October at 3:26pm, emergency crews were called to Lavender Hill following reports of a stabbing. Victim Rinneau “Ren” Perrineau was found with serious stab wounds and rushed to hospital.
Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, Ren’s condition worsened and he died on Friday, 24 October. His family is devastated and receiving support from specialist officers.
“Ren was loved by many, he was always around his family. He will be dearly missed,” said the family.
Police Make Arrest, Hunt Continues
Detectives quickly arrested one suspect and are now chasing others believed to be involved. Officers say the attack was an isolated incident but want anyone with information to step forward.
Acting Borough Commander Amanda Mawhinney said, “This was a shocking crime committed in broad daylight. A teenager’s life was taken, and his family and friends have suffered a terrible loss.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Police are urging anyone near Beauchamp Road between 3:20pm and 3:30pm on Tuesday to come forward. Witnesses should contact 101 quoting crime reference 4781/21OCT or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
