The family of Lily Whitehouse have spoken out in mourning after their beloved 19-year-old was found dead in Oldbury last week.
Police Appeal Following Fatal Incident
West Midlands Police confirmed they are continuing to appeal for information about the incident, which they believe involved a van. Lily was reportedly hit by a vehicle on Old Park Lane and found with serious injuries nearby on Park Street by emergency services.
Family’s Tearful Statement
“We are devastated by what has happened to our Lily, the void left in our hearts will never be filled.
My beautiful girl Lily, your big brown eyes and your laughter could light up the world. You were so special. Nineteen years of love and laughter. Taken from us far too soon, in a way no heart should have to bear.”
Man Charged with Murder
A 41-year-old man has been charged with Lily’s murder. He remains in custody and will next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court in December.
