Woman in 20s Sexually Assaulted in Tesco Express, Man Arrested
Terrifying Incident Inside Southampton Tesco
A woman in her 20s was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a Tesco Express on Shirley Road, Southampton. The shocking incident took place around 8.30pm on August 22.
Hampshire Police have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with the assault. Officers are urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
Man Described and Bailed Pending Investigation
The victim reported that the suspect made lewd sexual comments and inappropriately touched her breasts. Police describe the man as mixed race, approximately 5ft 9in tall, and of average build. He was wearing a blue coat, cream trousers, and sliders without socks.
He has distinctive short grey and black curly hair, a short beard, and a cut or sore next to his left nostril.
The 44-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been bailed until December 29 while inquiries continue.
