Shock in Southampton Tesco Express: Woman Sexually Assaulted
A woman in her 20s was allegedly sexually assaulted inside a Tesco Express on Shirley Road, Southampton, at around 8.30pm on August 22. The terrifying incident has left the community stunned.
Man Arrested and Bailed as Police Investigate
Hampshire Police have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with the assault. The victim says the suspect made lewd sexual comments and inappropriately touched her breasts.
The suspect is described as mixed race, about 5ft 9in tall, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a blue coat, cream trousers, and sliders without socks. Notably, he has short grey and black curly hair, a short beard, and a distinctive cut or sore by his left nostril.
The man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and is currently bailed until December 29, pending further inquiries.
