Police launch probe after a brutal assault outside a northern Lincolnshire bar leaves a man fighting for his health.
Violent Scene at Market Place
Emergency services rushed to Market Place in Brigg at around 10:05pm on Friday, 19 December. Witnesses reported a heated altercation involving a group of men and women. During the fracas, a 31-year-old man was punched and knocked to the ground before the group fled the scene.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries that have raised alarm among local police.
Police Plea for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Jayne Coutts said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation as we look to establish the full circumstances around the incident.
“A scene guard was in place to allow officers to gather evidence and has now been lifted. Residents can expect to see more officers in the area. We urge anyone with information or concerns to speak to the police.”
