Violence Erupts in Brigg’s Market Place
Chaos broke out in Brigg’s Market Place on Friday night as emergency services raced to the scene after a vicious assault. At around 10:05pm on 19 December, witnesses saw a heated clash involving a group of men and women. A 31-year-old man was punched hard and knocked to the ground before the attackers fled.
The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, raising alarm among local police and the community.
Police Launch Hunt for Attackers
Det. Insp. Jayne Coutts said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation as we look to establish the full circumstances around the incident.”
She added: “A scene guard was put in place to collect evidence and has now been lifted. Residents can expect increased police patrols in the area. We urge anyone with information or concerns to come forward.”
