Noah Conway, 22, from Saxmundham, jailed for over five years after shocking hit-and-run that left two pensioners seriously hurt. The Ipswich Crown Court slammed Conway with a 5-year, 2-month sentence on January 29, after he admitted possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis, dangerous driving, and drug supply offences.
Hit-and-Run Horror Near Leiston
In March 2025, Conway crashed his BMW at Westward Ho, Leiston, then sped off, leaving an elderly couple in their 80s badly injured. The victims were rushed to hospital. Officers found cocaine and other drugs inside the vehicle.
Further digging revealed a cover-up. BMW owner Lloyd Bridge falsely reported the car stolen to hide Conway’s drug dealing. Bridge had loaned the car to Conway, who used it to move drugs.
Drug Ring Busted
Police cracked a bigger drug operation linked to the crash. Lloyd Bridge, 37, from Ipswich, admitted drug supply, cannabis possession, fraud, and trying to pervert justice. He got a 2-year prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, plus 200 hours’ community service.
Another man, Leslie Packman, 63, from Cambridge, admitted possessing criminal property and was handed a 12-month community order.
“This conviction and sentence show Suffolk Constabulary will not tolerate drug dealers,” said DC Nicola Clarson of the Serious Crime Disruption Team. “Those involved show no regard for communities affected. We’ll pursue them relentlessly with no hiding place.”
“The victims showed remarkable courage. Although recovered, the crash has deeply affected how they live their lives.”
