Eight Charged in Murder Probe Over Missing Man Gary Piatek
Leicestershire Police have charged eight suspects following a major murder investigation into the disappearance of 60-year-old Gary Piatek, missing since April 2024.
Massive Raids Rock Evington, Dorset & Birmingham
At dawn on Tuesday, police executed warrants across several addresses in Evington, Broad Avenue, Dorset, and Birmingham. Specialist teams are still scouring a property on Broad Avenue for any clue to Gary’s whereabouts.
Who’s Behind Bars?
- Yosif Ibrahim, 43, Leicester – charged with murder.
- Omed Firuzman, 25, Bournemouth – charged with murder.
- Dalya Rabati, 29, Isleworth – charged with fraud and Proceeds of Crime offences.
- Dilan Rabati, 34, Leicester – charged under Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Ahmed Nabla, 34, Leicester – charged under Proceeds of Crime Act.
- Diar Muhammedy, 34, Leicester – charged with assisting an offender.
- Mabast Khalid, 21, Birmingham – charged with assisting an offender.
- Nazem Kakamando, 50, Birmingham – charged with fraud by false representation and Proceeds of Crime offences.
All Held Over Bail
All eight have been remanded in custody and will appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court today (Friday). Meanwhile, a 61-year-old Leicester man, previously arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released on police bail as inquiries continue.
