Meanwhile, 21-year-old Tegan Smith from Cardiff was locked up for two years after admitting possession with intent to supply crack cocaine. Both were sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.

The crackdown followed an intense South Wales Police operation targeting drug activity in Talbot Green. Officers from the organised crime unit tracked a suspicious red Ford Fiesta known to be linked with drug users. The vehicle was tailed until it halted on a dead-end street, leading to the arrests.
“There is no place in our communities for these drugs,” a police spokesperson said.
“I’m pleased to see this sentence handed down and hope it gives Austin and Smith some time to reflect on their actions.”
