Two men have been sentenced to life behind bars after a savage assault in Birmingham left Craig Dean, aka “Yankee,” dead. The victim was brutally beaten outside a Moseley home following a text argument on July 7.

Hamza Khan, 23, and Mohammed Rahman, 25, pulled up in a Vauxhall Corsa just before 5 pm. They launched a vicious attack on Craig, stomping on his head even after he collapsed. They then fled, leaving him critical on the pavement.

Both men were convicted of murder at Birmingham Crown Court last month. On February 24, Khan was jailed for life with a minimum term of 17 years. Rahman also got life, handed 17 years and six months minimum.
