A man has been locked up for ten years after sexually assaulting a vulnerable woman in Southampton – then trying to pin the blame on a family member.
Horrific Attack After Night Out
Musafar Hotak, 25, was convicted at Southampton Crown Court for raping a woman in her 20s on July 12, 2022. The victim, separated from her friends and drunk, was targeted by Hotak in a nearby park.
CCTV Footage Seals Hotak’s Fate
Prosecutors used CCTV to show Hotak leading the woman from the city centre to a relative’s flat where he was staying. Despite her desperate pleas to stop, he carried out a violent and terrifying assault.
Desperate Lies Blow Up in His Face
After his arrest, Hotak attempted to dodge the blame by falsely accusing a family member of the attack. The court saw through the lie and sentenced him to a decade behind bars.
