Stanley Saxon Locked Up for Deadly Attack
Stanley Saxon, 45, has been sentenced to nearly a decade behind bars after pleading guilty to manslaughter and grievous bodily harm (GBH) following violent incidents in Oxford and Banbury.
Fatal Punch in Oxford Leads to Manslaughter Charge
On 19 July 2025, Saxon punched 67-year-old Leszek Kaminski in the face on Speedwell Street, St Aldates, Oxford. Mr Kaminski collapsed, hitting his head, and died in the hospital the next day.
Saxon was arrested at the scene and charged shortly after. He was admitted manslaughter at Oxford Crown Court on 12 January 2026.
Earlier Brutal Assault in Banbury
In a separate incident on 27 April 2021 in Banbury town centre, Saxon viciously attacked another man. After knocking the victim to the ground, Saxon repeatedly punched and stamped on his head. Thankfully, the victim survived.
Saxon pleaded guilty to Section 20 GBH for this attack during the same court hearing.
Heavy Sentence for Repeat Violent Offender
Today (27 February 2026), Saxon was sentenced to nine years and eight months in prison, which includes a consecutive 19-month term for the Banbury GBH assault.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin of the Major Crime Unit said:
“This case has presented a painful set of circumstances for all involved, with devastating and fatal consequences for Mr Kaminski. Saxon’s actions were unlawful and cost a much loved man his life. Our thoughts remain with Mr Kaminski’s family.” “Saxon also admitted a serious violent assault in Banbury in 2021. He clearly has a dangerous propensity for violence and will now serve a significant prison term for his crimes.”
