Muhammad Chaudhry, 25, of no fixed address, has landed six months behind bars after a series of booze thefts in Twyford. Thames Valley Police pinched the serial shoplifter following his latest swipe at Waitrose.

Theft Spree At Waitrose

Between December 2025 and February 2026, Chaudhry stole alcohol eight times from the Twyford store. Caught red-handed on 9 February, he was arrested at Twyford train station by a local Neighbourhood Policing officer.

Courts, Custody and Another Felony

Chaudhry pleaded guilty and initially received a 16-week suspended sentence at Reading Magistrates’ Court. But the trouble didn’t stop there. Hours after his sentencing, the thief brazenly returned to Waitrose and was nabbed again stealing. Police swiftly arrested him, and this time the court sent him straight to prison for six months.
