Police have launched a hunt for a suspect after a woman was reportedly raped in a Worthing car park on the evening of Wednesday 11 March.
The Shocking Attack
The attack is believed to have happened shortly after 8pm in Lyndhurst Road Car Park. The victim, a woman in her 20s, is receiving specialist support while detectives rush to crack the case.
Police Hunt for Suspect Intensifies
Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said the investigation is in its early stages, but officers are working swiftly. “We are at the early stages of this investigation, and the victim will continue to receive our full support as this progresses,” he stated.
An increased police presence is expected in the area, and the car park may be temporarily closed to preserve evidence.
