A Swindon entrepreneur is on the brink of prison after pleading guilty to abusing a teenage girl. Kyle Holmes, founder of popular web agency Black Nova Designs, faces serious jail time over shocking sex offences involving a young victim.
Guilty Pleas and Airport Arrest
Holmes was charged with nine sexual offences related to a teenager in 2025. The allegations came to light while he was abroad, leading to his arrest at a UK airport on his return. At Swindon Crown Court on Friday 13 March, the defendant admitted guilt to four counts, including sexual activity and encouraging the victim to take part.
Further Charges Under Review as Sentence Looms
He remains not guilty to five other charges, which the Crown Prosecution Service will review. A decision on whether these will go to trial will be made within 14 days. Meanwhile, Holmes, from Eider Avenue, Lyneham, has been remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on 24 April.
Judge Townsend warned Holmes to prepare for a prison sentence. Following the investigation launched late last year, Holmes stepped down as Director of Black Nova Designs. The company continues to operate under his wife’s leadership.
Protecting Victims’ Identities
Victims of sexual crimes are legally shielded with lifetime anonymity. Sharing any detail that could reveal their identity is a criminal offence punishable by imprisonment.
